Happy Birthday, Mr. Disney

Walter Elias Disney was born on December 5, 1901. This man had to be one of the most visionary men of that century. What an imagination. What drive and determination.

HO! HO! HO!

Well now it's December! Does it seem like life is on fast forward to anyone else or is it just me?? I haven't been in a card making mood, but I have been working on a few digital pages. Here is one I'd like to share with you today... These two famous faces need no introduction!

Disneys Haunted Mansion

I thought this layout would be fitting to share today. It's another one for our Year with Disney album. I love all those pumpkins! Disney has its Haunted Mansion decked out for the Nightmare Before Christmas, even though these photos were taken during the HalloweenTime celebration.

Another Tink Card

Since I had the paper out on my work surface, all cut up, I decided to make another quick card. I actually made a lot more, but I won't bore you with posting all of them. I thought this one was really cute, with her little pose and all. I'll give it to my niece, she's going to be eleven. This one is self-explanatory. I did dust her wings with glitter. And I really wanted to put either itty bitty pom-poms or liquid applique on her little shoes, but I didn't want to take the chance of messing it up! LOL! Maybe next time...

Supplies-Cardstock:Brilliant Blue, Green Galore(SU!). Paper:Tinkerbells(Disney). Other: White ribbon from my stash. Dazzling Diamonds(SU!). Floral Fantasy embossing folder(Cuttlebug).

Tinkerbell Quick Card

I needed a super quick card featuring Tinkerbell. I don't own a Tinkerbell stamp, but I did have a 12 x 12 sheet of Tinks in my scrapbooking stash. SO...I cut out a section and simply matted it with coordinating cardstock, the turquoise cs, I ran thru my CB. I gave her wings a sprinkle of 'pixie dust' and popped the whole thing up with dimensionals and tied on a bit of ribbon. And in no time flat, I had a Tinkerbell card to be used for a birthday party! Not too bad for a last minute thing. Now, I'm off to find a set of Disney stamps. Anybody know where I can find some?

Supplies-Cardstock:Tempting Turquoise,Yoyo Yellow,Green Galore(SU!). Paper:Tinkerbells(Disney). Other:Ivory Organdy ribbon(CTMH). Dazzling Diamonds(SU!). Swiss Dots embossing folder(Cuttlebug).

It's October!

This is the most wonderful time of the year for me...from now until New Year's Eve. I really don't like January...at all. But, I'll deal with that once it gets here. For now, let's celebrate October! According to my calendar it is Fall! But somebody forgot to share that with the folks in charge of the weather, because it's still hitting 100 degrees in my neck of the woods! We have cloudy overcast days, but it is HOT!

Today I have a layout to share. Yet another from our year with Disney album. These pics were taken during Disney's HalloweenTime. A fun celebration where the Disney characters are wearing costumes for Halloween and the park is all aglow with 'candle' lit pumpkins. I plan to start scrapping the Haunted Mansion next, which was all decked out in the Nightmare Before Christmas theme. Fun times, great memories.

Thanks for dropping by today! Blessings~

Nemo Sub Layout

The lines for this ride were just ridiculous! At one point the wait time was 3 hours. We didn't wait that day. Turns out it was good thing, too, because we were a little disappointed in the ride. Gasp!

Thanks for the visit. Blessings~

How Arrr Ya Doin'?

Okay, Talk Like a Pirate Day is officially over, but I am carrying it on all weekend. I have one more pirate layout for you. This is an old layout, one I am planning on re-doing. I was just learning the ins and outs of Photo Shop when I made this one and there are a few things I would do differently now.

A Few Layouts For Ye..

Here are two layouts for our Year with Disney Album. These are pics from our visits to the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. I thought it would be fitting to share them today.

Some salty ol' pirates up to their usual antics!

I hope no one gets offended by the Bride Auction, it's all in good fun.

Avast, Me Hearties!

This is my nephew wearing his Jack Sparrow costume we gave him for Christmas last year. Isn't he cute? I made him CD's with the soundtracks from all of the POTC movies on it and I understand that he played those things and ran around in his house, doing quite a fine imitation of Captain Jack.

Main Street Pumpkins

I love orange. I really do. This has got to be one of my favorite layouts...all of those pumpkins! The little small ones with the faces of Pooh and Tink carved into them...they light up at night. It was so pretty seeing all of the pumpkin faces with flickering lights everywhere. I am really going to miss being there this year. But with every layout I create, I will be able to re-live that day and share those memories with my family. That's why we scrapbook, yes?

There are even pumpkins on the ledge of that pink building. And all of the flowers were in Autumn colors as well. I took a lot more night photos but they have to be 'photo shopped' too much to fiddle with right now. I wanted quick, fast and easy!

Click on the photos for credits and to read the journaling if you'd like. Thanks for stopping in!

Masked Mickey-Front Gate

I decided to create a few layouts. I am attempting to complete our Fall visits from our Year with Disney in an effort to finally complete the album, so I can put it on display. So here is one of hopefully many layouts-don't worry, I won't post them all-from Disney's Halloween Time. I am always impressed by Disney details. They create an atmosphere that really helps to put one in the spirit of the season. I hope you enjoy looking at these layouts as much as I enjoy creating them. Isn't that masked Mickey the cutest thing?

Have a wonderful weekend! It's cooling off here and we are having beautiful misty mornings, hopefully Fall will arrive on time for us. Blessings...

So Sweet

Vic and I were able to share some mother/daughter time at Disney's California Adventure. Still plugging away at my Disney Album. Did I ever share that I took 1,500 plus photos the year we had annual passes to Disneyland and California Adventure? Yep. Yep. Yep...That's a lot of pics needing to be scrapped....

Disney Spring Layout

Yes, I know. It's almost Autumn. But I had a Spring layout I wanted to share. I've decided that since I am organizing our Disney Album by season, I will focus on whatever season we are currently in and make layouts for that. This way, I'll feel 'more in the moment'. Ha! We'll see.

Tea for Two

Another Disney memory...I am soooo terribly behind in my scrapping! I love making cards, because they are quick and easy, but I keep telling myself, when my daughters are grown they will not be concerned with how many cards I made, they will want to see moments from our life...

Under The Sea

I am posting early, because after a 24 hour no-guest reprieve, my sister and her crew, along with my mom are coming in today for the weekend. So...I need to strip beds, do laundry, sweep, mop, vacuum...you know, fun stuff! lol! And wouldn't you know it...ANTS attacked Max's cottage this morning, by way of crawling thru the carpet and over the recliners. I think they are coming out of the fireplace! I am losing the battle with those beasties this summer! I'll not give up, though!

Todays layout is a re-post. It is one of my favorite Disney moments...

Feeling A Bit Disney...

Disneyland is my most favorite place to spend time. I have loved it since I was a little girl. Last year, My Man surprised us with Annual passes and we were able to visit several times, even though it's a bit of a distance away from our home. We had an absolute blast! The girls were so happy to be able to visit at any time~one of the many benefits of homeschooling! I took 1000 + photos and I am in the process of digitally scrapping them. My goal for this summer was to complete my Disney Album, and I must admit, I have not been working to accomplish that goal! So...I thought I would start TODAY.

Journaling reads:
Finding characters that would not scare Patricia proved to be quite a difficult feat. Once we determined what was actually scaring her, we were able to move forward. The rules: No masks, no big feet, no big heads and finally if the character did have these issues, she would pose with them as long as they were not taller than her. So many rules, leaves very few characters. These two Disney characters happen to be my favorites and I was thrilled to see them and have my other two princesses take a picture with them.

Thanks for stopping by. Be Blessed!

Pooh Corner

Winnie-the-Pooh is my absolute favorite! He reminds me, of me. And that is ALL that I have to say about THAT! ;-)

Cruella

Another layout for our Year with Disney album. I worked on this layout for quite a while. Not too sure I like it, really. The girls liked it, so I decided to post it. Hey, Tiffany, what do you think?

Back On Track

Here is a Spring layout from our Year with Disney. I am having so much fun revisiting all of our Disney memories! I can almost taste that smoked turkey leg now! On this layout, I tried something different. Colorblocking. I decided to take a simpler approach and use mostly papers on the page, instead of a lot of embellishments.

Another Disneyland Layout

I am working on the Disney Album today. This one is a bit different, as it has no people, just these gorgeous roses that were blooming all over the place! Roses are my absolute favorite flower and the Disney Agr.Department did a wonderful job with the landscaping this season!
